Keep the skill, change the affinity

Uchigatana starts with Unsheathe. The transferable Ash drops from a scarab in southeastern Agheel Lake, Limgrave. Applying it is useful when you want to change the katana’s affinity while preserving its familiar stance.

Pick one opening

Hold the skill input, then choose light for the horizontal slash or heavy for the overhead strike. Holding the stance slows your movement and is not a defensive action. The heavy branch supports stance pressure, but repeated use needs safe windows.

With the Black Whetblade, a physical Ash such as Unsheathe can support Occult on an eligible katana. Moonveil’s Transient Moonlight is a distinct fixed skill and cannot be replaced with this Ash.
