Build for both halves
Avoid a Holy damage plan and do not depend on hemorrhage. Use an upgraded physical weapon; fire is a useful Radagon option. Replace Lord of Blood’s Exultation if your strategy cannot trigger it. Holy protection helps against the encounter’s major elemental attacks.
Torrent became usable against Elden Beast in patch 1.12. The Radagon half remains on foot. Keep enough healing and FP for the second half rather than spending the entire budget forcing the first.
Radagon: wait for the finish
His hammer strings and delayed holy slams punish early rolls. Dodge the release and take one short punish. When he begins a repeated slam sequence, track every impact; the first dodge is not the end of the attack.
Teleport bursts and projectile responses make neutral casting risky. Blasphemous Pilgrim should choose a confirmed recovery for Taker’s Flames instead of casting whenever HP is missing.
Elden Beast: chase with a plan
Use Torrent to cover large gaps when appropriate, then dismount for attacks that need precise on-foot dodging. Watch the approaching sword waves rather than staring only at the boss’s distant body.
For the ring attack, move toward a gap and jump the closing ring as needed. Leave stamina for movement when projectiles overlap. It is immune to status effects: Occult Uchigatana’s direct physical damage is still useful, but its bleed buildup will never proc here.
