Damage choice
Physical is a useful answer to magic resistance

Prepare the correct damage

An Intelligence character should bring a physical option such as Rock Sling rather than relying entirely on magic projectiles. A normal melee weapon works too. Keep enough Crimson charges for the second phase and avoid spending all your FP in the library.

Library phase

Identify the singing scholars with golden light and interrupt them. After three interruptions, Rennala’s barrier breaks and she falls. Move in for a short damage window, then leave before the barrier reforms. Watch falling objects and spell pressure while moving between scholars.

Moonlit phase

Move sideways through the opening beam instead of committing to a long cast. Close distance between spells and use a quick punish. Her summoned allies are temporary: reposition around them instead of insisting on clearing every summon.

Rock Sling needs a clear lane. If it misses against movement, get closer during a recovery or switch to short physical melee. After victory, Rennala remains available for rebirth; you do not lose that service by defeating her.
