Acquisition
Defeat Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, then trade his remembrance with Enia at Roundtable Hold. Complete any Volcano Manor contracts you want first: defeating Rykard changes manor progression. Serpent-Hunter is the intended tool for that encounter; this blade is the reward afterward.
A strong tool with limits
Faith supports the fire wave of Taker’s Flames. The skill heals when its flame hits a target, but the animation is a real commitment. Choose an opening with a clear line rather than hoping hyperarmor will make the exchange safe.
Its flame no longer has the old knockdown effect after patch 1.12. Fire-resistant bosses, especially Messmer, call for a lightning or physical alternative. The blade cannot receive a new Ash of War, affinity or external weapon buff.
