Acquisition
Defeat the knight carrying the Dragon Cult Prayerbook south of Artist’s Shack in eastern Liurnia. Give the book to an incantation teacher such as Miriel, then buy Lightning Spear. It requires 17 Faith.
An alternate damage type
Use it when the target resists fire or when a sword skill leaves you too exposed. Charge only when the opening lasts long enough; a fast uncharged cast can be the better punish.
Golden Vow can support it, but Flame, Grant Me Strength boosts physical and fire damage instead. Upgrade the seal and check spell requirements independently. Lightning is not an automatic weakness for every large enemy.
