Acquisition
Pick it up behind Fort Gael in Caelid, near the flame chariots. It requires 15 Faith. You can collect it without clearing the fort, but the enemies punish a slow approach.
Use it for the correct damage
It supports physical attacks and Taker’s Flames fire damage; it does not increase magic or lightning damage. Cast after a longer aura buff so less of the short duration is spent preparing.
It can coexist with Golden Vow, but other body buffs such as defensive fortifications or Exalted Flesh can replace it. Against an unfamiliar fight, a defensive body buff may be the better choice. Refreshing it is optional, not a mandatory rotation.
