Charged heavy melee attacks

Acquisition

Take it from the cellar chest at Mistwood Ruins in eastern Limgrave. A Runebear sleeps near the entrance. You can retrieve the chest without winning a prolonged fight, but noise and poor positioning can wake it.

Use the right input

Choose this when fully charged heavies are part of your plan. A quick tap heavy, a jump heavy or Lion’s Claw does not become a charged melee attack just because it looks forceful.

For Colossal Knight, wait for a long recovery before charging. If you mostly use the skill, replace this with an appropriate defense or skill slot; theoretical damage means little if the charge never finishes.
