Acquisition

Farm soldiers carrying the brass-colored triangular shield around Gatefront or other soldier camps. It is a random drop, so avoid treating it as a guaranteed chest reward. A starting 100% physical shield is a fine alternative while you wait.

Guard without exhausting yourself

No Skill passes the skill input to the right-hand weapon. Shield upgrades improve guard performance; raising attack stats alone does not make blocking cheap. Lower the shield between enemy attacks to regain stamina.

100% physical negation does not block every damage type, status buildup, grab or entire combo safely. Guard counter after the final manageable hit, not after the first. A guard break leaves you vulnerable.
