Acquisition
Collect the Royal House Scroll in southern Limgrave and give it to an eligible sorcery teacher such as Sellen. Buy Carian Slicer after turning in the scroll. The spell needs 14 Intelligence and a staff.
Close-range casting
It is a compact melee spell, useful when a ranged casting plan runs out of space. Move into a confirmed opening and cast a short chain, leaving stamina to dodge. It is not a block, parry or physical sword attack.
Against high magic resistance, switch to physical damage rather than trying to force Slicer. Shard of Alexander does not boost sorceries. A staff’s sorcery scaling and magic-oriented support affect the appropriate damage.
