Acquisition
Defeat Esgar, Priest of Blood in Leyndell Catacombs, beneath the capital. This is a confusing, dangerous dungeon and not an obligatory detour for an early bleed character.
Have a replacement ready
The bonus activates when blood loss occurs nearby; merely holding a bleed weapon does not turn it on. Dragonblood Duelist can make use of it in bleed-susceptible encounters.
Radagon and Elden Beast are immune to hemorrhage. Replace the conditional slot for that fight and use physical damage. Self-bleed setups exist, but this build does not require them and does not assume a proc before every fog gate.
