Follow the quest
Keep Alexander alive, speak to him through his journey, and meet him for the final duel in Crumbling Farum Azula. His earlier death gives Warrior Jar Shard instead and ends the quest. Neither item is an honest early-game requirement.
What it boosts
Use it for Lion’s Claw, Bloodhound’s Finesse, Transient Moonlight, Taker’s Flames or Wing Stance when those skills actually land. It is not a general boost to light attacks, Carian Slicer or Lightning Spear.
Shard of Alexander and Warrior Jar Shard are mutually exclusive. The published builds remain functional before this reward; a defensive talisman is a reasonable interim choice.
