Starscourge Radahn

Reach the festival

Activate the Radahn Festival through appropriate progression, commonly reaching Altus Plateau or advancing Ranni’s quest. Talk to Jerren at Redmane Castle and take the lift to the sending gate. This is Starscourge Radahn from the base game, a different encounter from the DLC final boss.

Opening and melee

At long range, watch the gravity arrow release and dodge deliberately. The scattered NPC signs let festival allies join; use them if you want help dividing attention. Torrent is available, but being mounted does not make the opening projectiles harmless.

Once he commits to an ally, approach from an angle and punish briefly. His swords cover a wide arc. Do not spend the entire stamina bar attacking under him, since the next sweep can force several defensive actions.

Transition and recovery

When he rises out of the arena, stop attacking, find open space and watch the sky for his meteor return. Moving on Torrent can help cover distance; do not stand still refreshing buffs. Return to short attacks once the landing resolves.

Rotten Breath is a possible status opener only when you have a safe cast. A direct physical weapon remains a reliable plan. Defeating him opens the crater route to Nokron, including the Black Whetblade used by the Arcane fallback.
